What is Pindari?
It is a huge and vertical glacier gauging 3.2kms in length and 1.5kms in breadth. Its Zero Point is located at a spectacular height of 3660 mts above sea-level.
Where is Pindari?
5kms beyond Phurkia lays Pindari Glacier. It is the source of Pindar River which runs with Alaknanda River at the convergence of Karnaprayag. The Pindari Glacier is found in the high ranges of the Kumaon Himalayas, to the south-east of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot.
The glacier drifts to the south for about 3 kms; 0.25kms in breadth and gives upswing to the Pindari River meeting the Alaknanda River at Karnaprayag in the Garhwal district.
How Many Days For Trekking at Pindari Glacier?
The Pindari Glacier track offers a 90 kms round-trip trekking. The trek could be easily completed in five to six days.

You are requested and suggested to go through a complete body and health check-up before you begin to trek. Do not take the trek if you are a heart patient or suffering from blood pressure. Keep an eye on your breath count. Take a break if you sense faster breathing.
Carry a camera, compass, necessary medicines, first-aid box and flexible water bottle with you while you are on trek. Do not hesitate to share your problems or requirements with fellow trekkers or tour planners.
