The golden temple Amritsar employs about 300 Sewadars though 90% of the working staff is made up of volunteers. sewadar helps the gurudwara management by giving prasad to a devotee at Golden Temple. 

4. Feel the lake atmosphere

The golden temple is also famous for its ‘Sarovar’. The gurdwara is built around a man-made pool that was completed by the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, in 1577. Its lake atmosphere is simply amazing which attracts tourists apart from the pilgrimage.
