Shri Guna Devi Temple

Shri Guna Devi Temple is a must visit place near Dharamshala if you love hiking in mountain. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and very famous amongst local who generally visit this temple on Sunday or holy days of the month. The temple is located at height of around 2300 meters which gives panoramic view of the Dhauladhar mountain range. 

How to Reach Guna Devi Temple 

The trek towards Guna Devi Temple is very moderate which start from Bahl village and may take around 8KM round trip. The toute is very well maintained in which initially there will be steep stairs and then you will pass through the beautiful oak and deodar forest of Kangra district. 

Guna Mata Temple Trek Overview 

• Starting Point is from Bahl village which is located at around 2KM from Naddi village near McLeod Ganj Dharmshala. You can easily get transportation to Bahl village from Dharamshala at shared bases or can hire taxi.
• Distance – Total trek distance from base at Bahl village to temple and return will be around 8KM. 
• Duration of trek – It may take upto 7-8 hours depending upon your fitness level 
• Difficulty level – The trek is easy to moderate and require to climb steep stairs in the beginning. 
• Other important information => As this is pilgrimage / temple, we advise you to wear proper clothing. The trek is very beautiful and surrounded by mountain, better you start early in the morning and return back by evening.
