This is home of many animals such as tigers, leopards, chital, nilgai, chinkara, Wild boar, bears, flying squirrel, Indian giant squirrel, black buck, and many more. This is also home to a variety of Birds including migratory bird Bar-headed goose, flycatchers, and the majestic Malabar pied hornbill. The park is shelter of over 1300 plant species such as sal, mahua trees, and medicinal herbs.

Jatashankar Temple: Jata Shankar is a natural cave and Shrine of Shiva. This is also a famous tourist attraction near Satpura Tiger Reserve. This cave is named Jatashankar because the cave structure looks like Lord Shiva's hair.
