Jim Corbett National Park, Nainital, Uttarakhand

The India welcomes you to the Jim Corbett National Park, which is located in the northern state of Uttarakhand, India. The region is world-famous for its Tiger safaris and Bird Watching Tours.

The best time to visit Corbett National Park is in Indian winter from November to February. During this time, the weather is pleasant and dry, thereby increasing the chances of spotting wildlife, including the park's famous tigers. Core zones of this wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand, are closed during the monsoon season from June to September. This closure is primarily for safety reasons due to heavy rainfall, flooding, and the breeding season of wildlife.

It was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park. The park was renamed as Ramganga National Park in the mid-1950s. The park was renamed in 1955 - 1956 as Corbett National Park after Jim Corbett (British sportsman and writer who played a crucial role in establishing this park).
