Hadimba Devi Temple in Manali is a beautiful and peaceful place, surrounded by tall cedar trees in the calm Dhungiri forest. In 1553, Maharaja Bahadur Singh constructed the Hadimba Devi Temple in Manali. The Mahabharata figure Hidimba Devi who is said to have meditated in the cave where the temple now stands is the intent of devotion. With its four-tiered pagoda-style roof and attractive wooden carvings the temple's unique design features the ethnic heritage of the area.
The Hadimba Temple celebrates several vibrant festivals throughout the year. Locals believe the Goddess protects the forest and people, and during the annual May fair, they celebrate her birthday with music and dance. Another important festival, ‘Bahadur Singh Re Jatar,’ takes place in the month of Shravan, honoring Raja Bahadur Singh, the temple's founder.
