The magical Dudhsagar Waterfall is situated in the Sanguem Taluka of Goa and cascades into the dominion of the Goa Forest departments as it is a slice of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. The magnificent waterfall of white water, flowing over the sharp, almost upright face of the mountain from an enormous height of 1017ft is a must-visit place in your lifetime. The waterfalls are at their apex in the rainy season, though they are a popular charm throughout the year. It ruptures into three watercourses as it decants over the near-vertical precipice face, thus materializing a really wonderful view.
Reaching Dudhsagar Waterfalls is itself an adventurous task. You can either trek around or take the rail route. There is moreover a bouncy road suitable only for 4W drive vehicles still requiring tourists to walk about 1km to touch the base of the falls. Jeeps on rent are available as well. In the rainy season trekking is the only way to reach the waterfall as they are escalating with overspill from the mountains and can make the passage of a vehicle near blocked. Take your cameras ready with you as you will come across the natural beauty at its best.
