Cheeyappara Waterfall, Munnar, Kerala

Cheeyappara waterfall is a beautiful place to experience the breathtaking view of the water flowing from the top and passes below the road. It’s an average decent but a beautiful location to make some photographs. Cheeyappara waterfall can be explored during your Kochin to Munnar trip as It is located on national highway 49 (Kochin – Madurai) just before 48KM of Munnar near Neriamangalam.

This architectural wonder took 103 years to create, over three generations of the royal family. Over 1000 artisans are reported to have contributed to the creation of this marvel in stone. The temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu, also known as Chennakesava, which means "lovely (chenna) Vishnu" (Keshava).

The NH73 connects Mangalore to the seaside city of Mangalore, which is 153 kilometres away. Regular buses are available from Hassan, Bangalore, Chikmagalur, Mysore, and Belur to Mangalore.
