Bannerghatta National Park, located about 22 km south of Bengaluru, Karnataka, spans approximately 260.51 square kilometers. The park offers a wide variety of attractions such as a safari park, zoo, aquarium, butterfly park, and snake house. The 122-acre park is home to India's first fenced forested elephant sanctuary which is sponsored by PETA India. Elephants use the park to travel between the Sathyamangalam forest and the BR Hills. Bannerghatta National Park is famous for its tiger and lion safaris, rich wildlife, and green surroundings.

History:

Bannerghatta National Park was established in 1974 to protect local wildlife and vegetation. Over the years, it has developed various attractions, including lion and tiger safaris, a zoo, and a butterfly park, improving wildlife tourism and conservation efforts.
